RESIDENT RECYCLING GUIDE

Know what goes where.

These are common examples, not a universal acceptance list. Your community's local hauler and municipal rules always take priority.

Flattened cardboard

Break down clean, dry boxes. Follow your property's size and placement rules.

Paper products

Clean, dry office paper and newspapers are commonly accepted; confirm locally.

Metal containers

Empty accepted food and beverage cans. Rinse as directed by your hauler.

Plastic containers

Only approved types, empty and clean. Resin numbers alone do not guarantee acceptance.

Important: Glass, plastic film, bags, batteries, electronics, food waste, and other materials have local variations or special handling requirements. Never place batteries, chemicals, or sharps in regular recycling. Verify accepted items with your community.
THE RECYCLING ROUTINE

Simple habits.
Better outcomes.

02

Prepare correctly.

Empty and clean containers where required, flatten cardboard, and separate materials.

03

Set out on schedule.

Place recyclables in the approved container or bag during your assigned window.
